Both Isaac and Melisa are burried in the Waddill Cemetery, near Kirkville, Adair Co.

Who were the Longs, sister Sally M. Ivie marries William M. Long two years after Isaac marries Melisa Long, and one story has it that it was a proposed polygamous marriage by a daughter of William S. Ivie to a Long that led to Wm S leaving the Mormon church and remaining in Missouri.
